A quick way of saying it is the Interpretive Report provides you with a greatly expanded, personalized report of your Strong results.
There are 9 additional pages of highly personalized information offering an in-depth interpretation of your Strong results. The
Interpretive Report also builds on the Strong Profile by applying key learnings to create a richly textured road map for exploring and
pursuing a rewarding life of work and leisure.
In addition, the Strong Interpretive Report comes in three separate versions: (Standard, High School, and College)
With a striking color graphic redesign—making the information more accessible and easy to understand—this comprehensive career
development tool goes beyond the iStartStrong and the Strong Profile, by adding powerful detail including expanded definitions of
the six General Occupational Themes and additional career fields and leisure activities, as well as personal descriptors that
characterize satisfied workers in various jobs. The report also zeros-in on the top 10 occupations potentially most satisfying to your
client, providing specifics on the typical work tasks associated with each job, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for
success. As well, it provides you with a list (according to your indicated interests) of the 10 least desirable jobs for the unique
person that you are.
please note: all three versions of the Strong Interest Inventory are the same exact assessment. Stated in another way, when taking
the Inventory, all 291 questions are exactly the same for each version. The differences are in the printed results i.e., in the last four
pages of each. Each Strong is written to the targeted age group and their situational variables in life.

Choosing or changing a career can feel like a monumental decision. At the same time, it can also feel like guesswork. But with
the highly reliable Strong Interest Inventory® assessment, you can discover your interests, preferences, and personal styles—
exactly the information you need to select classes or change into a career you can be passionate about.
Used by more than 70 percent of U.S. colleges and universities, the Strong Interest Inventory® assessment is one of the world’
s most widely respected and frequently used career planning tools. Its newest revision reflects today's occupations/professions,
the country's demographics, and as importantly, the way we work in the new century. As a result, those who are making a
career transition have now become a majority of those taking the Strong...and in the process, are making equally fulfilling
choices...even in this economy.
While the Strong is backed by unparalleled reliability and validity, it’s also easy to take and read. Consisting of 291 questions,
the SII will ask you to indicate your preference for a wide range of occupations, school subjects, activities and types of people.
It will take about 30-45 minutes to complete and it's all taken and results received on-line. No worries, you can break-off and
come back as many times as you like until finished - even for extended intervals.
Among some of the things included in the Strong Profile are:
- 6 General Occupational Themes map out broad interest patterns to describe personalities and preferred work
- 30 Basic Interest Scales provide more specific information about your areas of interest
- 244 Occupational Scales relate your interest patterns to those of satisfied and successful workers
- 5 Personal Style Scales describe your clients' preferred style of working, learning, leading, risk taking, and team
- 10 occupations/professions you are most likely to find rewarding.
With both four-color graphics and detailed narrative, the newly revised Strong Profile puts self-discovery into the hands of
anyone seeking career direction. This highly personalized report paints a clear picture of how your specific interests and
preferences link to various jobs, work settings, and career fields. The Strong Profile enables you to discover your true interests
in order to expand your career options and chart a plan of action toward fulfilling career choices.
Making college life satisfying and rewarding requires both selecting the right academic major and creating a campus and
community life that is personally enriching.
In addition to all of the above, the Strong Profile, College Edition, takes the wealth of career interest data provided in the Strong
Profile one step further. An additional personalized report helps students explore the path that is right for them by identifying
and evaluating career options and matching college majors, as well as specific college courses, jobs or internships, and
extracurricular activities that will allow them to express their unique interests and personal style. In particular, this step-by-
step guidance on how to evaluate college majors that fit your interests and preferences can be invaluable.
